Dylan Stephens Update

First, thank you to every one who donated goodies for the ice chest.

But most importantly, Dylan is on his way home. He is still a pretty sick little boy, but they think he will respond better to treatment at home.

The last time I talked to the family they would have home health care to assist them.

If you are signed up for a meal, please deliver it to their home. (4513 S 26th Dr., Phone 602-687-9302) We will finish meals through this week. After that, if you feel inspired, I am sure they will appreciate an occasional treat or visit.

Ice Chest for the Stephens' Family

The Bishop announced in Sacrament meeting that he would like to put together an ice chest of items to help sustain the family. We have asked Jackie Malone (Emily's visiting teacher) to put this together and get it to the family. The Bishop suggested things like water, Caprice Sun, String Cheese, Sandwich making things, etc. This will help them when they have days that no one can take a break to go get lunch.

Also, the meals are now being coordinated by Susan Gluch and Amy Whetten. I spoke to the family again last night and they are in for at least all of next week. Dylan may be moved out of icu once all the graphs are safely healing.

They have a box of paper goods, so you do not need to worry about furnishing paper plates, plastic ware, paper cups, etc. And if you would make all of your dishes disposable, it would be appreciated.

If you have signed up to take a meal and cannot get it delivered to the hospital, Amberly has volunteered to take it for you.

Dylan Stephens Emily Stephen's son

You have probably heard by now that he was hit by a car. The link to Emily's blog for details is http://gobroncos-stephensfam.blogspot.com/. If you would like to help, Deirdre, Amberly and Susan Gluch have taken great strides to coordinate things with the family. It looks like Dylan will be in the hospital for a full week. Your prayers are appreciated.
