Come learn (or teach) basic sewing skills as we sew quilt tops and newborn gowns! This is a great opportunity to help others and get to know the young women in the ward!

Humanitarian Event

As many of you know we had a ward humanitarian event in February. Thank you to all that came and helped. Just for your information Sister Mickelson took all the stuff to the Humanitarian Center and these are the totals:

Quilts - 4
Blocks - 300
Hygiene Kits - 78
File Folder Games - 53
Dresses - 13
New Born Hats - 11

Extra stuff:
travel tooth paste sets - 40
wash clothes - 60

Bath Towels - 10
gallon size Ziploc bag of combs
grocery sack of toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand towels

Sister Mickelson said that when she walked in "the faces of the workers were in utter shock, alarm and a great amount of AWE. They were very grateful for everything we donated."

Thank you for all you did to help make this event a success. The generosity and love shown here will bless each of us and our ward.

We realize that many of you sisters do not get to hear the Sunday lessons. We wish to include you in everything we are doing, so we have set a special time for you to hear the first Sunday lesson each month.

This month the lesson is on FAITH. We will have the discussion on faith this Thursday,
January 14, 2010
7:00 p.m.
Relief Society room.

The fun part about this that because the group is small, we can have a candid discussion about the subject in an informal way, with emphasis on any part of the lesson.

We hope you will join us whether you are a Primary or Young Women's worker or even if you would just like to increase your faith, join us.

Sandi Grandberry will be teaching the lesson this month, so come and relax with her for an hour.
